Passive protest is not doing nothing, it is protesting as a normal part of your day. This is not difficult and can be effective at generating conversation about the cause. The main goal is to get people to talk to you so you can inform them about what is going on. You can accomplish this a number of ways.

Simply talking to people you encounter is a great way to get them thinking about what is going on right now. A lot of people don't understand what has happened and what might happen again and would like for the Federal Government to stop treating human beings in disgustingly violent ways. People also understand that we don't need the government to do this to other people just for us to go about our daily lives. The hard part is communicating this fact to them and getting them to understand how important it is.

Engaging in pleasant political conversation with casual strangers is fun and if you can listen to someone else's opinion, no mater how absolutely insane it is, then you can can probably explain your opinion to them, no mater how absolutely insane they think your opinion is. If someone starts to get aggressive or defensive, you don't need to pressure them; keep it civil and pleasant and let them try to come to their own conclusions. Most people won't change their mind right there, they will change it later on after they contemplate the conversation. The more pleasant they remember the conversation being, the more likely they are to remember the political position in a positive light.

If you are comfortable talking politically with others you can start to draw more attention to yourself. You don't have to go full out at the start; stick with an attention level that you are comfortable with. You can draw attention by wearing items that will stand out, such as black bows, Not In My Name t-shirts, and black hoods. The black hood will draw lots of attention and has to be planned well. It will be easy to mistake your actions with those of someone who wants to actually hurt people: a simple misunderstanding could become a life threatening emergency so don't take wearing a black hood lightly.
